Echoes from the Past

Echoes from the Past features a selection of letters, manuscripts, and images from the first 150 years of Hampden-Sydney College. Primary source documents were chosen that give voice to the men who tread these halls and grounds from the earliest days of this country, through Civil War and Reconstruction. Within these documents can be found glimpses of the daily lives of H-SC faculty, students, and community in the form of letters home, invitations, accounts of college events, correspondences between faculty and students, and photographs. These items, and many others, are housed permanently in the Hampden-Sydney College Archives & Special Collections and are viewable by appointment.
